beeping | (no subject)

[This is a really silly dream.

It has to be a dream, or so Nepeta convinces herself. Her room in the castle, once lined with walls covered in ~~blood~~ paintings and drawings and charts of shipping, now resembles something of a jungle. She's sitting up on a bed of spotbeast fur that's oh so warm and also incredibly comfortable. Looking up reveals dangling vines and--are those featherbeast chirps she's hearing?

This is very much a dream. What only confirms this is the fact that she's not alone in the bed. Lying beside her is Vriska, sound asleep and oblivious to the sudden jungle they've found themselves in. She looks so peaceful, and almost--almost--innocent... Nepeta isn't sure she has the heart to wake her up. Even if this is just a dream. Which is odd, because she's never had a dream in which someone was asleep during it.

But it's a pretty boring dream without someone to interact with, so she shakes Vriska's shoulder to wake her from her slumber. Here's hoping that dream!Vriska is a lot nicer about being abruptly woken than the real Vriska.]

Ugh!! I didn't even do anything!

[She smiles, and then looks away. And then--oh yeah. Still in a jungle.]

Even if we are still stuck here.

[Sigh.]

Speaking of, what do you usually do to pass the time? Or what should we do?

[She puts her hand to her chin in thought.]

Are there any feelings you need to jam?

NO.

[She lets herself flop onto her back.]

Beats me, then. All the stuff I do you wouldn't be interested in.

Like what? [She likes RPing, BUT YOU NEVER WANT TO RP WITH HER.]

[VRISKA NEVER ASKS. EVER.]

I'unno! Like playing with kitties or painting. Unless you wanna draw with me? We can wish up some paper and stuff.

[She likes drawing! She is even good at drawing! But she has to ask.]

Are there even purrbeasts in here?

[She stops and listens for any purring.]

I don't know, but that's a good question. Where are my cats?

[Vriska just points to a random, nonsensical direction off in the distance.]

Over there!

[And Nepeta actually buys it--at first. After moving toward that direction, she stops and turns back to Vriska.]

Wait, how would you know!

[Cue laughter!]

How would you fall for that?!

[Pouting!]

I am worried about them now!

THEY'RE PURRBEASTS. They will be fine!

[The robot one will be fine. And the others, too. But still.]

Hey wait, you didn't even answer my question.

Which one?

Do you want to draw?

I guess!

Oh. Okay!

[Nepeta wastes no time in wishing up plenty of paper and various colors of markers for them to draw with. She spreads them over the bed, which is lumpy from all the rustling of the covers by now, but she doesn't mind.]

Dibs on green!

[Facetiously,] Well then, I guess I better get blue!

[And now she's starting to draw her Ariados...]

[Nepeta waits to see what Vriska's drawing, leaning over and watching her work before deciding to start drawing her Shinx.]

Look at us being smart and turning a weird castle thing into a fun thing.

We are so resourceful! [She's drawing a pirate hat on it!]
