Okay. Rival pirates? You win this one.
It was a chase between the two, a debacle of gunpowder and clashing swords, and it was one that was actually halfway decent, not a single shred of monotony. And if renowned pirate Marina Victoria wasn't fighting back two lungs full of ocean water and a mouthful of blood? She's sure she would have thought to thank them.
But surely, this was no time for amusement, because objectively speaking? She was drowning. She needed to catch her breath, and fast-- though the torrential motion of the water was not sympathetic to her plights.
Thrashing was usually a halfway decent way to surface, though being weighed down by a hell of a lot of injuries made that tactic hard pressed to work when she needed it to. Great. Now she was going to go down fighting. At least it was a fitting end for one hell of a skirmish.
